The sun was a little late this morning. As my daughter got ready for her first day of school this week I noticed it was darker than usual. A sure sign of fall.
We all have our favorite season. I love Autumn. It’s the only time of year when death is beautiful. Isn’t it amazing how dying leaves can reveal such beauty? Soon we will be able to marvel at the splendor of fall colors and pumpkin spice coffee.
As we enter this new season I look back on the details of my life recently and I am encouraged, hopeful and thankful. We survived a hard spring and an even harder summer. Yet by the grace of God my family and I stand stronger together.
Why? God was with us just like He was with Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego when by order of King Nebuchadnezzar they were thrown into the fire and were not harmed.
We did our best to embrace our season of life because for everything there is a season.
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. ~Ecclesiastes 3:11
I love the promises of new seasons.
