Have you ever experienced great strength during a low point in your life? You surprise yourself at times and wonder where did that come from… Sitting during my treatment today I felt empowered. Why?
We are at our best when we are broken. That’s when God gives us an opportunity to operate on His strength.
So I cry a little. Maybe more than a little if I’m honest. All I can do is trust the One who has all the answers. Only He can open the doors that will lead us to His will, opportunities that only He ordains and bless. That’s where we find our strength. Clinging to the hope of a future in which Jesus holds the keys.
Revelation 3:7-8, “The Holy One, the True One, the One who has the Key of David, who opens and no one will close, and closes and no one opens says: I know your works. Because you…have not denied My name, look, I have placed before you an open door that no one else is able to close.”
When Paul pleaded to the Lord in the book of 2 Corinthians chapter 12 to have this thorn removed from his side Jesus told him “My grace is sufficient for you for My strength is made perfect in weakness”. Paul answered “therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmaries, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmaries, in reproaches, in need, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, than I am strong”.
My friends not only does Jesus opens doors but He makes us strong.
