My mornings lately have been pretty early with a new puppy with a little bladder. I brew a cup of expresso and go outside to sit while she has the run of the yard. She is always excited to run but eventually settles at my feet while I enjoy my coffee and read my daily devotionals. I love to sleep in when I can but my quiet and peaceful time with the Lord while witnessing the sun rise through the trees makes it all worth it.
Last weekends church service focused on Gods peace. In Ephesians 6 Paul writes “stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”
In the morning when I rise I am at peace with God. Its precious. In John 14 it states “peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Like every person I cry and struggle at times over the details of my life but He has given me His peace and I’m standing firm. I am at peace with God.
It’s amazing how our beloved animals become a part of our life and story. I like to think Winnie enjoys our early morning too.
“Piglet asks Pooh how he spells the word love and Pooh tells him: “You don’t spell it… you feel it.”
I definitely feel Gods love and His peace.
