Brace Yourself

Kind of a catchy name for a blog. My sister used it as a warning for what I affectionately call a sister secret. I cannot violate the sister code if you’re wondering, but I am bracing myself for the journey ahead.

The second biopsy results… Invasive lobular carcinoma on the other breast. I have two different types of breast cancer. Can this be normal? Maybe. Is it common? Possibly. What are the odds? I do not know.

One thing I know for a certainty. My God is bigger than this… I will let you in on something you may have already picked up on reading my blog… I got a Cornerstone.

Wikipedia said a “cornerstone (or foundation stone or setting stone) is the first stone set in the construction of a masonry foundation, important since all other stones will be set in reference to this stone, thus determining the position of the entire structure.”

My cornerstone is Jesus. The Bible describes Jesus as the “Chief Cornerstone” of our faith. On this rock I stand.

This doesn’t mean I will not face a storm nor experience it’s harsh elements but it does mean my foundation is strong.

Hardship often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny. ~ C.S. Lewis
